2nd Philippine Ham Radio Kids Day
On June 16, 2012, some of the members of DX5RAN joined the 2nd Philippine Ham Radio Kids Day. This activity is a very lively one and indeed brought out new experiences to the kids. It introduced the young children to ham radio hobby and provided all ham radio operators the opportunity to elmer new comers to the hobby. It likewise provided a venue for a ham radio family event and allowed the children to contact other ham radio stations here and abroad. In these pictures, you will be able to see Kyla in action using the three modes of communication (Echolink through RF, HF and VHF). She was able to contact 38 stations wherein 19 of which were DX (unofficial log). Thank you PARA for such a very bright idea of letting our kids know our hobby, thank you to all the stations who responded to Kyla's call, thank you DX5RAN for the guidance you extended to the future amateurs, thank you to all the stations who joined the activity and thank you to all who made Kyla's day a very fruitful one.
